ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (APP): Advisor to the Prime Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Zafarullah Khan on Sunday said all relevant documentary evidence would be submitted before the Supreme
Court in the Panama Papers case.
Talking to a private news channel programme, he said the Supreme Court could form a judicial commission to investigate the matter. Normally the apex court did not investigate cases, he added.
He said the lawyers of Sharif family would follow directions of the court, whether it wanted to form a commission or hear arguments of both sides.
He said the legal team of prime minister was of the view that it could challenge the maintainability of the case before the court, but the prime minister had declined to do so and presented himself for accountability.
He said PML N leader Hanif Abbasi had filed two petitions against PTI chief Imran Khan and the third one would soon be filed by some other persons.
PTI leaders including Imran Khan would have to answer the allegations about their offshore companies, tax matters and Bani Gala property, he added.
Barrister Zafarullah said Jehangir Tareen also had discrepancies in his tax statements filed before the Election Commission and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Imran Khan had wasted two years in sit ins and now was repeating the same mistake again, he added.
