No one can stop Balochistan's development: Zehri

QUETTA, Aug 25 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that goals of development, progress and prosperity could not be achieved in a society without elimination of corruption.
He said that eliminating corruption was not only responsibility of a single person or government, adding that but all segments of the society would have to play their due role in this regard. “Our mission is to ensure good governance and eliminate corruption,” he said.
He was addressing a seminar organized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan, here on Thursday. He said that we would have to sensitize society against corruption. “I assure people of Balochistan that corrupt elements will not be tolerated and corruption would be eliminated at any cost,” he said.
“Anti Corruption Department and Chief Minister Inspection Team have been made functional to control corruption,” he added.
He said that his government remained impartial in finance department corruption case. “My Finance Advisor tendered his resignation after the finance department corruption case was reported,” he said.
The Chief Minister said that the looted money of the finance department which had been recovered would be utilized to construct a hospital in Quetta. Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan, Prof Dr. Javed Iqbal, ex secretary finance, Mahfood Ali Khan and DG NAB Balochistan, Maj. (retd) Tariq Mehmood Malik were also present.
