ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 (APP): Speakers on Saturday expressed that continious curfew, ban on media, internet and other communication system like telephone is a heinous crime which would not hide facts from international world.
It is time to unveil this gruesome face of Indian security forces in front of international human rights commissions and public opinion around the globe.
Speakers were addressing a seminar titled, “Current Uprising in Kashmir and the Role of Diaspora”, organized by Iqbal Institute of Research and Development (IRD), of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) here at National Press Club on Saturday.
The moot was presided over by Vice Chancellor IIUI, Dr. Masoom Yaseen while Minister for Information AJK, Mushtaq Minhas was chief guest on the occasion.
Speakers urged the government, media and academic institutions to play their due role for presenting the clear picture in front of international community.
They lauded the clear stance of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Kashmir in his address in General Assembly of United Nations.
In a joint declaration presented in the seminar, the speakers urged their severe concerns on inhuman and barbaric behaviour of Indian security forces on innocent Kashmiris.
They also expressed concerns on use of banned pellet guns due to which a number of people lost their eyesight and other body parts.
They suggested that for peaceful resolution of Kashmir, Pakistan and India should initiate joint dialogue as it is the only way to sort out matters.
They further said that from this platform they raise voice against the arrest of human rights activist Khurram Pervaiz and two years vigorous imprisonment and demand for releasing him with all his fellows immediately.
