ISLAMABAD, May 10 (APP): Minister of State for Interior Balighur Rehman on Tuesday apprised the Senate that the number of proclaimed offenders had dropped from 5199 to 4043 in the Federal Capital after police started campaign in March this year.
Replying to a questione, the minister said the crime rate had dropped by 30 per cent in Islamabad due to joint patrolling of police and Rangers, implementation of National Action Plan and many other factors.
He said the police would arrest remaining proclaimed offenders soon.
