BEIJING, Apr 24 (APP):A Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Geng Shaung Wednesday reiterated that the normal cooperation between the international community and China including Iran in the framework of international law was legal and must be respected and protected.
He made these remarks during his routine briefing when asked to comment on the United States announcement of cancellation of the exemption from importing Iranian oil countries.
“Yesterday, I have answered many questions on similar issues. I can repeat it again: China has always opposed the US implementation of unilateral sanctions and the so-called “long arm jurisdiction,” he said.
The spokesperson said that the normal cooperation between the international community including China and Iran in the framework of international law was reasonable and legal and must be respected and protected.
He urged the US to respect China’s interests and concerns and not to take wrong actions that harm China’s interests, adding, “We will also continue to work to safeguard the legitimate and legitimate rights of our businesses.”
To yet another question, he said, “China will continue to work to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its domestic enterprises.”
