Defence Minister rejects Afghan President's allegations

ISLAMABAD, May 14 (APP): Minister for Defence, Water and Power
Khawaja Muhammad Asif Saturday said the CASA 1000 power project would help meet the energy shortage in the country.

The CASA project would provide cheap electricity to Pakistan and
meet its growing energy demand, he said while talking to a news
channel.

The minister said the the historic project had been inagurated
through which Tajikistan would supply 1,000 MW electricity to Pakistan
via Afghanistan.
