ISLAMABAD, May 12 (APP): Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif Thursday said that CASA 1000 MW power project would help to meet the energy shortage in the country.
The CASA project would provide cheap electricity to Pakistan and most
of the growing energy demand would be fulfilled through the project, he said while talking to PTV.
The minister said the stage has been set for sealing a historic accord
for the supply of 1,000 MW electricity to Pakistan by Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan via Afghanistan.
