ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (APP): Federal Minister for States and Frontier
Regions (SAFRON) Abdul Qadir Baloch on Thursday assured the Senate that Balochistan would not be neglected in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms
during the question-hour, he said the corridor would be constructed at the pattern of motorway and its western route would be built on priority.
He said power generation projects, being carried out with financial
assistance of China, would be executed in all provinces.
Baloch said financial closing of 36 early harvest projects (EHPs) would
be completed in the current month and “hopefully, all the projects will be in practical phase in next month.”
He said a list of 36 EHPs/priority projects of energy, transport
infrastructure was agreed between National Development Reform Commission of Peoples Republic of China and the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms during 3rd Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting held on August 27, 2014.
