RAWALPINDI, Oct 4 (APP):- In connection with the sacred month of Muharam-ul-Haram, a calligraphic exhibition by Abbotabad based senior calligrapher Jahanzeb Malik Tuesday was arranged under auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) here.
Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate accompanied by Naheed Manzoor, Aftab Ahmed Khan, Mansoor Rahi, Director NCA Nadeem Umer and Resident Director Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition.
The artist has introduced new calligraphic style in Architectural form. There were 99 names of Allah and 40 ayatsout of 140 unique art pieces have been scribed in tilt and pane shape.
Jahanzeb Malik used no traditional “khats” having his own creation of mind which made different from others.
The artist who is an engineer by profession used Architectural style in calligraphy.
Addressing at the inaugural session, Raja Muhammad Hanif said that
Jahanzeb Malik succeeded to introduce new technique of calligraphy which is a unique style.
Waqar Ahmed said Jahanzeb Malik is an amazing artist and calligrapher and due to his work, the people of twin cities have witnessed new form of calligraphy.
The exhibition would go on display till October, 8.
