MUZAFFARABAD, Sep 15 (APP): Leaders of the Azad Kashmir chapter of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Thursday lauded Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for strongly raising Kashmir issue at UN and other international fora.

Talking to APP, APHC AJK chapter’s leader Ghulam Muhammad Safi commended the initiatives taken by the Prime Minister of Pakistan regarding Kashmir dispute and said that the Kashmiris freedom struggle was in fact a movement of stability and completion of Pakistan Movement.

Responding to a question he hailed Prime Minister Sharif
for dedicating this year’s Eid ul Azha to the Kashmiri people,
fighting for their right to self determination.

He said the dedication of Eid day to Kashmiris was a tribute to martyrs of Kashmir, adding, the Kashmiri people
appreciated this gesture of Nawaz Sharif which depicted his
commitment with Kashmir cause and love for Kashmiri people.

He also lauded the Prime Minister for nominating his special envoys on Kashmir, who were visiting various capitals
of the world to sensitize the international community about
Kashmir dispute in its true perspective.

The APHC leaders asserted that Prime Minister Nawaz
Sharif also highlighted the Kashmir issue in UN General
Assembly during the last year’s annual general assembly
session and hoped that the Prime Minister would again strongly raise the Kashmir dispute at upcoming UN General Assembly.

He said Prime Minister Sharif should expose the Indian
sham democracy and its gross human rights violations unleashed by the Indian occupation forces against the innocent Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

The other Kashmiri leaders working on human rights front
including Mushtaqul Islam Vice Chairman of International
Justice and Human Rights Forum (IJHRF) and Chairman Pasban e Huriet Jammu Kashmir (PHJK) Uzair Ahmed Ghazali while talking to APP also appreciated Prime Minister Sharif for taking concrete steps for highlighting the Kashmir dispute.

The recent announcement of Nawaz Sharif to dedicate the
Eid day to Kashmiris was very encouraging for the people of
Kashmir, and reflected his affiliation, personal interest and
attachment with Kashmir cause, they added.

Mushtaqul Islam was of the view that there should have
been the representation of Kashmiri leadership in the foreign
delegations to brief the diplomats of different countries.

He said the Kashmiri people have pinned hopes on Prime
Minister Nawaz Sharif and expect that under his dynamic
leadership the Kashmiri people would achieve their
destination.

Chairman Pasban e Huriet Jammu Kashmir (PHJK) Uzair Ahmed Ghazali was of the view that the ongoing Indian atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir should be specially focused at UN.

He said besieging of Kashmir valley, imposition of curfew for the last more than two months and use of pellet guns against unarmed civilians must also be highlighted at UN
and other international fora to expose the real Indian face
before the international community.
