KARACHI, May 26 (APP): Pakistan’s origin, British Boxer Amir Khan will hold exhibition matches here on June 2 for generating funds for Amir Khan Trust Foundation.
Funds would be utilized to install filter plants to provide safe drinking water and other basic needs to drought-hit people in Thar.
Director of Iris Event Artistry and Plar, Bilal Siddiqi revealed this while talking to APP on Thursday.
The event is being jointly organized by Iris Event Artistry and Plar and Habib Bank Limited (HBL).
Around 3-4 exhibition fights would be held between British and Irish Boxers, Siddiqui added.
Earlier, a Meet and Greet event would be held at Dolmen Mall Karachi on May 31 which would be open for public where the people can meet and greet British Boxer Amir Khan, he added.
It will be followed by Public Workout programme that would be held at Frere Hall, Karachi on June 1 where entry fee would be Rs 800 per person, he added.
President Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF), Dodo Khan Bhutto said,” Amir Khan has sent a request to PBF for issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC)to hold fund-raising exhibition fights and we have issued the same”, he said.
