MIRPUR (AJK), Nov 25 (APP) : President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan called on the British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson at the British High Commission late Thursday and briefed him of the fast deteriorating situation along the Line of Control (LoC) in AJK following the frequent incidents of unprovoked Indian firing from across the LoC.
The AJK President apprised the British Foreign Secretary of the
recent flagrant targeting of a passenger bus and an ambulance near
Dudhnial in the Neelum valley by Indian forces.
He said India was deliberately escalating tension along the LoC to divert the attention of the international community from the grave situation in the Occupied Kashmir.
He apprised Johnson that international community, particularly the UK, should take note of the gravity of the situation and urge India to respect human rights of  Kashmiri people.
Responding the British Foreign Secretary said that his country would continue to encourage India and Pakistan for engagement for a positive dialogue to find a lasting solution to Kashmir issue.
