AJK PM unveils mass welfare projects in various fields of human development

MIRPUR (AJK), Oct 17 (APP): Unveiling various mass welfare projects to ameliorate the life style of common man in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Monday said that welfare of the people was one of top priority of his government.

Addressing the AJK cabinet meeting held late Monday, the Prime Minister continued that investment by intending entrepreneur in tourism, agriculture and livestock sectors would be encouraged – since AJK is enriched with huge natural potential in these sectors.

The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan who declared that his government will facilitate the investors to attract maximum investors for availing this opportunity and job opportunities could be produced.

He said that government would introduce reforms in education system so merit could be promoted.

The AJK cabinet condemned the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and called upon the international community to notice of Indian State terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

The cabinet meeting unanimously passed various resolutions condemning the human rights abuses by Indian forces in held Kashmir.

Through other unanimously passed resolutions, the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) cabinet welcomed the visit of President Mamnoon Hussain to Azad Jammu and Kashmir to express solidarity with ongoing freedom struggle in occupied Kashmir against the illegal occupation of Indian forces,The President of Pakistan addressed joint sitting of AJK Council and Assembly at time when the freedom movement of Kashmiris people was at full swing.

His address to joint session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council and Legislative Assembly was reflection of the aspirations of the Nation.

The people and government of AJK are thankful to him for his valuable moral contributions to the just cause of Kashmiris.

The Cabinet strongly condemned the arbitrary arrests of youth asked the international community to play its role in saving humanity from the systematic genocide unleashed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir .

After Burhan’s martyrdom on 8th July 2016, whole valley poured in streets forcing, not only state but the whole sub-continent into the heated debate, attracting the world attention to the heinous crimes committed by India .

The meeting appreciated Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for presenting the Kashmir cause before the world community, especially during the UN General Assembly session in New York and his recent visit to Azerbaijan.

Full diplomatic support for Kashmiris expressed by Azerbaijan president was outcome of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s successful diplomatic strategy for the promotion of Kashmir cause at international level. After 100 days of Indian continued curfew, use of pallet guns against children and women and arrests of innocent civilians freedom struggle become more stronger and extensive.

People of Jammu and Kashmir have determined to defeat Indian brutal forces and win freedom from India, the cabinet said.

The cabinet called upon international community to take serious notice of Indian state-terrorism in occupied Kashmir and pressurise India to give Kashmiris their internationally recognised right to self-determination.

The cabinet appreciated the visit of Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider to the areas close Line of Control (LoC) to express solidarity with affectees of unprovoked Indian firing on LoC.

Earlier AJK cabinet on Monday approved to launch a one year development scheme of Rs.150 millions ‘The Prime Minister community infrastructure development project’.

The cabinet approved another mega development project ‘Tourism Corridor ‘ .This project includes construction of 105 kilometres road From Chakkar to Benjoss via Non Bagla, Gally ,Sudhen Gali,Naza Pir,Lasdana and Toli Pir.
The cabinet approved to takeover the powers of collecting excise and sales taxes from AJK Council to generate financial resources.
