QUETTA, Jan 7 (APP): Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal held meetings with the Chief Minister Balochistan, Speaker Balochistan Assembly and leaders of Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party and National Party at Chief Minister House, here on Thursday.
The Federal Minister arrived here on a two-day visit and held meetings with Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri and Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Ms Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani.
The political leaders who attended the meetings included Senator Agha Shehbaz Durrani, Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) MPAs- Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal, Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, Obaidullah Babat and others.
The National Party MPAs who held meeting with the Federal Minister among them were Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Dr Shama Ishaq, Yasmeen Lehri and others.
The issues including China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC), Gwadar Deep Sea Port, Economic Zone and Federal Development Funds for Balochistan came under discussion during the meeting.
Ahsan Iqbal assured them that the federal government would build western route of CPEC following the aspirations of people of Balochistan.
He assured them that the allocated federal development funds would be released for Balochistan timely.
