AGP calls meeting to review progress of cases registered under anti-terrorism laws

ISLAMABAD, Sep 4 (APP): Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) Ashtar Ausaf Ali has called a meeting on Monday at the Advocate General Punjab office in Lahore to review the progress of cases registered under the various anti terrorism laws.

Ashtar Ausaf Ali Attorney-General for Pakistan has been appointed as Chairman Sub-Committee of the Committee for Implementation of National Action Plan.

According to the AGP office, other members of the committee are Secretary Interior, Secretary Law, Home Secretaries/Chief Secretaries/ Inspectors General of Police/Prosecutor Generals of all the four Provinces as well as Gilgit Baltistan and AJK.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Prime Minister has constituted a sub committee under the chairmanship of Attorney General for Pakistan which will ensure progress of prosecution of all terrorism related cases within two months.
