8th Right to Play Peace Football Tournament begins

PESHAWAR, Oct 29 (APP): The eight edition of the Right to Play Peace
Football Tournament under the aegis of District Mardan Football Association got under way at Younis Stadium Mardan on Saturday.
Assistant Commissioner Mardan Pervez Iqbal Khattak was the chief guest on this occasion who formally inaugurated the tournament. Teams affiliated with District Football Association Mardan are taking part. Organizing Secretary and Member District Council (Mardan Khas) Ali Gohar, international footballer Zahir Muhammad of NPB, Fida Muhammad, Akhtar Hussain, Saddique Shah, Akhtar Ali Shah, Ghazi Khan, Abdul Ahad, Muhammad Rafique and Darwash Khan were also present.
Before the start of the opening match the players of both Mardan Red and Mardan White were introduced to him. The match was started on fast tempo in front of large number of spectators present in the Younis Stadium Mardan.
The two teams raided on each other territories but none of the team
could get any lead till the end of the first session play. It was only in the 55th minute when right winger Ali slammed in a beautiful goal on the field attempt and guided Mardan Red to solitary goal victory. Ali Rehman with deputy referees Abbas Ali and Arsalan supervised the match while Khair Ul Amin acted as match commissioner.
