ISLAMABAD, Dec 9 (APP): Three periodical reports of the Standing Committees regarding energy conservation, health services and Parliamentary Affairs were presented in the National Assembly on Wednesday.
Chairman Standing Committee on Water and Power Muhammad Arshad Khan Leghari presented the report of the Standing Committee on the National energy Efficiency and Conservation Bill, 2015. The bill aims for the establishment of institutions and enunciation of mechanisms and procedures so as to provide for effective conservation and efficient use of energy.
Chairman Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Khalid Hussain Magsi presented the Periodical Report for the period from January 22, 2015 to June 16, 2015 required by rule 234A of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007.
Chairman Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Manan presented the periodical report of the committee for the period from January 29Â 2015 to 15 June 2015 as required by rule 234A of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly 2007.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali informed the house that illegal constructions were made inside the limits of transmission lines in the Ilm-Din Colony, Mian Chanu.
Responding to a calling attention notice on the death of a woman due to magnetic field produced by high tension wires in the colony, he said the concerned electric supply company was not responsible for her death
